MetLife has appointed Bill Pappas as executive vice president and head of global technology and operations, effective from November 2019.
Reporting to Michel Khalaf, president and CEO, Pappas will also become a member of MetLife’s executive group.
Pappas joins MetLife from Bank of America, where he was the head of operations for the consumer, small business, wealth management and private banking businesses.
While serving at Bank of America, Pappas also led the global business services team that provides integrated technology solutions across the bank.
Commenting on Pappas’ appointment, Khalaf said: “With his vast experience leading technology and operations at the highest levels of the financial services industry, Bill Pappas will be a valuable addition to our leadership team.”
He added: “He is a strategic thinker who understands that to win in the marketplace we must differentiate ourselves—by delivering outstanding customer experience, fostering a culture of innovation, and embracing operational excellence.”
